You may download your copy from the link below. Please take time to let us know how it performs. It is an FS9 version, but I've tested it in FSX + Acceleration and it performs fine with the usual FSX issues. I'll be taking it apart and working on the FSX native version next. At this point it is only available from the our host, on this forum and one other, The Deer Valley Flying Club. I have no problem if Roger of Kofi want cross link it to SimOuthouse. Have fun! www.goldenagesimulations.com/GAS/GASJ2.zip Paul, Gil and Jim

Hey Guys, Thanks for the FS9 version of the J-2. I've flown it for a little over an hour around the great state of Alaska. So far, the only thing I've found that needs to be fixed is just cosmetic. When you turn on the lights (I know it doesn't have any!!), from spot view I see a green light under the left front tire and and red light under the tail skid. That's an easy fix for me but thought you might want to update that in your general distribution.
Also the taxi on the ground seem a little too sensitive. On my first few attempts at it, the plane wanted to hop and when it came down on the tail skid it went right through the ground. Although, if I keep it under 7 KIAS it will behave.
All in all, it's a lot of fun to fly and I'll be doing more of that this evening. Thanks again.
Bill

there are no lights on the a/c. In development we did experience "tail crashes" and thought we had that under control. That said, It will happen from time time but if you stay on the established runways you should be okay

1 hr spent flying it so far. I'm no pilot so I can't comment on any flight dynamics, but stall speeds and such as written down work as they should. The model is superb, I failed to find any holes or cracks or the like.
I know there are no lights, but as mentioned before, if you hit the default light key, 'L', a green light appears under the left wheel and a red light under the rear skid.
Is it possible to do a manual start up? I see the magneto switch but other than that I have to hit ctrl+e for autostart. I guess maybe back then someone would get out and turn over the prop?

to rid the model of the light go into the a/c config file and replace the lights entry with the following line
[LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing light.0 = 4, -1.1, 0.00, 1.50, fx_vclight
That will do it and as we continue to receive input further changes will be posted
Thanks

Let me get it: is it a beta or a gift from GAS? thanks.
Gonna check this one, but I think there's no need for lights on this plane.

;D Fun to fly, many thanks for this, GAS-Crew!
Looking at the light issue: Is a VC-light generally an effect I can build into any cockpit that looks too dark to me?

I generally take the [views] eyepoint= as a starting point for coordinates and then move it a little forward and down. For an fx file I usually use the default C172.
