I have 3 installs of Golden Wings. One is just plane jane GW, one is populated with vintage GA aircraft and the other is populated with vintage war birds (all prior to 1950). The only other mods to these three installs is the use of the new HDE Clouds package and Rhumbafloppy's LOD5 and LOD7 world mesh. If I try to start any flight in Hawaii, FS2004 crashes. I have two installs of Silver Wings, one GA and one Military (1950 to 1970s). Again, these have the HDE clouds and Rhumbafloppy's world mesh...I can start Hawaii in Silver Wings.
I do not have Golden Hawaii installed...just the planes from that package copied from previous installs.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for this, where I should begin looking. There are no common add on scenery between the GA and Military versions of Golden Wings. I installed both updates.

Have given up on trying to fix what is broken in my original GW installs....I made a fresh install of FS9, updated to 9.1, installed GW and the two updates and the revamped rivers bmp. Hawaii is working at this point. I also have the Extras package downloaded. In that package there are two exe files....Installtest3.exe and Installtest4.exe. There is no explanation about what these do. I don't want to install them without knowing what they do to GW3.

The GWTestinstall 3 and 4....I simply ran them to a temp folder to find out what was in them....all is well.
Thus far, I have GW3 fully updated, have the HDE clouds in plane, replacement world mesh set up and the stock vintage planes replaced with the tweaked versions of those aircraft from my other installs (new paints, new effects, that sort of stuff). At this point, Hawaii is working just fine. Over the next week or so, get my GA and Military Golden Wings installs populated and rolling along.
I have not enjoyed FS9 as much as I have this last week since going Golden.

Roger,
I'm pretty sure that the problem is a missing or errant scenery file. I copied a lot of stuff from previous installs into the GW3 installs....and it is likely that I had a scenery installed at one point, uninstalled and forgot to totally remove it. To avoid this in the future, I am now going to set up each scenery in its own folder within a Master Scenery Folder...no more dropping things into the Add On Scenery's Scenery and Texture folders...too hard to keep track of things that way. And by placing all my scenery in a dedicated folder outside of my installs, I can easily share a single install of a scenery between my various install.
