All of a sudden, my GW sim won't load up. It stops loading at the splash screen.
Can anyone help with a solution beside re-installing GW? Is there a file taht may have been corrupted, that I can move from my working FS2004 folders?
Thanks in advance,
Royce

Have you tried removing your GW3.cfg and then running GW3 when it will grow a new one?

Royce, Which Operating System are you using? Also to see it you must allow hidden folders and files in your Folders menu.

Roger - Using XP Pro same OS that I've had for awhile...Hidden folders are viewable.

In that case it's here: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\FSGW3.CFG
Perhaps rename it to FSGW3.CFGBAK then it's there with any modifications you may have made if my suggestion doesn't work.

Royce,
Do you get any error message?
One that can kill the sim at the splash screen is 'Aircraft initialization failure '. This can happen if the default Cessna has been removed.

Have you uninstalled any addons recently? One of the things that can cause the problem you described is when an addon that has been unistalled left behind a module that can't work by itself. Modules are usely named something similar to the addon the work with and can be found in the modules folder.
Also if you've just added a scenery it may be faulty it could be locking up on compilation. If you've added any sceneries before this happened, you could try deleting the "newscenery.cfg" in FS9's main folder.

Dave- No error messages..just a freeze up on loading after splash screen...
KBR - Yes I have recently added new scenery...then I believe I tried to delete it for some reason.. I will try you suggestions and look into the respective folder and file. Hopefully that will be it..don't want to do a reinstall :>(
Thanks guys, Royce

You might want to check to make sure that the scenery entry is completely removed from the "Scenery.cfg" file as well. If you do, you'll want to back up the file first just in case.
You can find this file in the FS9 main folder. Open it with notepad and check to see if the entry for the scenery you deleted is still in there. If it is, it's probably near the bottom of the file, then you can delete the entry out and save the file.
Missing scenery usually won't crash FS9, but it can in some cases.
