For those of you who have a liking for the early jet-liners (707, DC8, Convair, Caravelle) I'd just like to remind you that arguably the best resource for files is the Historic Jetliner Group (HJG). They have everything you need: base packs, sounds, panels and the largest range of liveries for these aircraft that I have come across in one location anywhere. (I now have every version of QANTAS 707 that flew and every livery). www.simviation.com/hjg/main.htmWell worth a visit and Dan, they even have something in Delta's colours. Bruce

HJG is a great site, Bruce! I've got a number of their planes including several of the Delta Convairs and Douglas'. I have Captain Sim's 707s mainly because of the VC, which I wish HJG models had, but there great models nevertheless! Thanks for the reminder - I haven't been over there in awhile, so think I'll just trot on over and take a new look! Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Because their 2-D panels are so well done (even variations between the various marks of the one aircraft type) I don't miss the VC.
And the "feel" and performance of each is excellent - I have the QANTAS 707-138 and the later 707-320C and difference in take-off and climb is considerable. They've done a good job.

Your right - they are very well done! I reviewed many of their panels last night and forgot how detailed they are. I'm going to have to fly a Convair and DC-8 again - used to really enjoy the early Delta 880s. Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Well, I updated my Delta DC8-61 with HJG's latest panel and sounds (my old panel dated back to 2005 or something . . .) and currently enjoying a flight from Seattle to San Francisco. I will say this, VC or not, it sure is great to savior the taste of a full 4 course meal again and drink some of the finest wine I've had at 30,000' in a long long time. ;D It's also an absolute pleasure to enjoy this fine cuisine while being served by 20 something stewardess' - all dressed up in their classy airline uniforms with cute smiles, polite language, and a wink once in awhile when you say 'thank you'. Much more approriate then the dried up old batty's we have now-a-days that can't wait to land, so they can rest their tired old arse feet! Anyway, thanks again Bruce for the reminder - of yesterday! Dan …it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

I believe their called 'Flight Attendants' now, as I remember from my last flight back in October and according to Wikipedia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_attendantWhatever their called, their all serious now - no smiles, no pillows, no coffee (on one flight they literally ran out of water to make it : . And, they can't understand why their not making any money! Surprising though, Southwest is - and without the 'hot pants' - they could make a lot more if they brought them back . . .
