I've always been fascinated with the Antarctica.......don't know why.....just have. (smile) When I first heard of this product and saw screen shots, I've been intrigued, so it seemed natural to purchase it yesterday........I haven't been disappointed. HUGH download (approx 7.3 gig....2.3 hrs.) but what little flying I've done, I'm enjoying it. Here's some screen shots: forum.aerosoft.com/index.php/topic/50034-antartica-released-images-here/I'm currently setting on the German ice cutter (helicopter) as it heads to the next port of call. I've been catching a free ride (due to fuel load) and heading out to sight-see.....then coming back to refuel etc. Should be an interesting trip. (smile) Cheers,

I have had a fascination with Antarctica since I was a boy and read "Fire On The Ice". I'd love to do a QANTAS-charter flight over the ice but the cost is somewhat considerable.

I know what you mean Bruce......I've looked into several such flights/cruises over the years.......still do from time to time and they have never gotten any cheaper. (smile) My best chance (if you could call it that).....was while I was still in the military, although the military had nothing to do with it. I was taking night college courses and had a professor who had about 14 years of time in the Antarctica as a micro-biologist. The last day of class, he gave a Huge slide show presentation that was wonderful....both from McMurdo & surrounding areas, and below the ice cap.....marvelous as well as beautiful. Bottom line, he and I had "somewhat" hit it off.... and he had told me there was always some type of spot at McMurdo for the "Winter Over" part; i.e, janitor, cook, general staff etc., etc. Had I not been on active duty.....wife, etc., etc., I would have jumped at that chance...........mostl likly I'd still be down there. (smile) Who knows.........someday!!!!! Cheers,

Wow, great work by Aerosoft again. I can only "window shop" right now, though...

Nothing wrong with a Antarctic Fetish. I'm still #4 on a short list of the USCG and RCAF for Antarctic duty. Once I get a chance I'm not letting go and I'm going for it. Aerosoft has done a excellent product of which I bought.
