I realize Microsoft have a (2 year) plan for Flight and are determined to stick to that plan. Nonetheless, I am disappointed that so many DLC are WWII Warplanes. I don't fly warplanes. I want Cessnas & Pipers. As a beta tester, I was lucky enough to get all Day 1 content so there has been NO DLC that interested me since Day 1. NONE. In that time I have spent plenty of cash on DLC, just not for Flight. Lots of Routes & Rolling Stock for Railworks 3, Scenery and Aircraft for FSX have been available and have earned my DLC dollars. Flight? Not so much. Sure, there is still play value in Flight and I am not totally bored yet. I'm waiting for Alaska...

Hi Tom, Some stuff would enhance the Game aspect of Flight. Some have alluded to the"Sterile" appearance of FLIGHT!...Others to the Boredom Factor!...Weaned on Bill Lyons its understandable...While the acquisition of hanger full of planes just to have them, well thats a collectors fun.,..as what FLIGHT is for me is far more basic!...Flying over some GREAT SCENERY!...I never realized there is so much of nothing ,except huge farms,Deep Canyons,Lots of Water....In my real World Experience of flying,I could never afford a Loaded Plane,Complete with the Latest Avionics...More like a CUB...a C-150,Piper 140....Simple.,enjoyable,Free..So no big deal for me..IFR?..serous Stuff!..I do simple Flying with my great Vacation of HAWAII in FLIGHT...When the mood gets me to play Walter Mitty, and Strap on a B-747?. or a F-22!.why I can do it...If I want to watch Traffic??? None Better than FSX.....Again,The main point with FLIGHT is....ITS FUN!!..Thats it?....Alaska? the North Country? with the quality of Scenery of FLIGHT?? Will be Great...Hell there is nothing up there anywho!.....Yes! DOPE RUNNING,Man I sweated even on the Sim! ....Now How REAL IS THAT??....Thanx Tom...Continue having FUN!Yer a great Inspiration to all,the Open mind..a Wonderful Thing!!...Vin ...Keep yer LEI DRY! ;D

There is no doubt that one of the principal problems with this business model is that content is so limited at the very start. The release schedule would need to change and accelerate so that much more content is available providing more variety.
Best regards. Luis

Microsoft have been trapped by their own strategy. The concept of holding development in house is fine but then they are right in the headlights to deliver. They know this but.....

Microsoft have been trapped by their own strategy. The concept of holding development in house is fine but then they are right in the headlights to deliver. They know this but..... I thought of several snappy finishes to your last line, but realized that all of them represented a long time flightsimmer view so, re-thinking it from a possible Microsoft view... They know this but... Everything is going exactly as planned. I think those of us who are disappointed should get used to disappointment. And/or take what we are given.

Clearly, we must learn the fine art of ... patience! ;D That's one virtue that is not very common in our hobby. Best regards. Luis

Actually, in honor of the pending release of yet another WWII Warplane in which I have no interest, I bought two DLC engines for Railworks 3 today. That is money I would have spent on Flight if anything of value was on offer.

I shall buy Alaska only because I have no choice, but I won't get the Northwest USA, nor the British Isles, nor Australia. Nor will I bother to get any multi-engine aircraft, commuter airplanes, or complex airplanes of any sort.
But, this is how it is supposed to work, this is what that business model means. We are just not used to it, and feel frustrated by the lack of content, or rather by the lack of content that we want.
As Jon said, MGS made a decision to shut out developers for whatever reason. So, content will be limited for a long time.
As for me, I wish they would open it up since I have a number of projects and would be very happy to sell them on the Marketplace - nothing wrong with making some money! ;D
Best regards. Luis
