Knew we'd get you flying ultralights eventually Vin Mike Whittaker has designed some very capable little aircraft but being an engineer, he has totally overlooked the importance of appearance I think. They all look as though they have come out of the ark and as a result have never achieved great popularity. The guys who own them love them but they sell for peanuts - you can buy a complete MW for less than the value of the engine, so you can guess what's happening. Sad but inevitable and in it's way a statement about the state of the whole UK microlight industry. It's what happens when over-regulation stops development - it costs so much to get a design through approval that once you have it, ghastly as it might be, you're stuck with it. Roger
