Yeah...I noted that the other day, Steve. It's like the Jeppesen real-weather utility for Flight Sim. (There is a new rail sim in the works that will be including a similar function; experience the "now" weather at any location.)

Well....I sat up a 3 lap race at Nordschleife with 6 cars....I started in #6 position with the AI set to 40 and 4 weather zones.....Light clouds, heavy clouds, heavy fog and haze. Played with the timing and the day's progression some and what a wonderful experience.....weather wise that is.
Only completed 2 laps and quit. AI is just too tough at this point in time. I can usually hold with them through corners, however, the straights.....especially that last LONNNNGGGG Straight, I get left in the dust.
But the weather.....now why couldn't FSX weather be like that.....Beautiful!!!
I've already decided it's going to take sometime for me to learn how to set up some very nice races....but once they are set up, I should be good. (smile)
Best be getting off to bed.....have to get up in about 4 hours to take my sister-in-law back to the airport. (smile) Something tells me there may be a nap in my future tomorrow sometime. (Smile).....but I sure do enjoy this program!
Cheers,

I have NEVER completed a full-length GP there and remember that back in the day those guys were doing over three hours. Maestros, all of them. Good news....I was just a moment ago successful on eBay in winning an auction for a month-old video card. It's a Radeon R9 280X 3GB Gaming OC BF4 limited edition, retailing on-line for around AUS$300 and I was able to get it for AUS$235. Coming over from your old port-of-call, Steve....Fremantle. Should be here late next week and then we'll see how smoothly Project Cars (and TS2015 maxxed out) runs.

Should be here late next week and then we'll see how smoothly Project Cars (and TS2015 maxxed out) runs. That is good news Bruce.....yes indeed, I hope you can get things smoothed out.....the more I use this program, the more I'm in love with it!!! As far as running a formula race at Nurburgring..... I sure hope to, however, it will be a VERY long race indeed. 6 laps took me 53 minutes, and I estimate I'll need to do 19 laps for an official length race. So....based on that, I think about 2.7 hours WITHOUT any pit stops. The good part (bad part)....there doesn't seem to be any cautions which I suppose I can live without, however, that does seem to take a little away from the program for me. I found long ago that the pit stop and fuel/tire management is a huge part of racing. Well....just returned from the airport....I'm a little tired, however think I'll go poke around Nurburgring for a bit. I going to mess around with setups etc., and see if I can pick up some speed. Cheers,
