I look in every day and I would certainly miss TOH if it disappeared, but I don't tend to contribute much.

Hey fella's......I'm still around too....just haven't been in here (or anywhere) much lately. My daughter has been having some health issues so has been keeping me and the wife busy lately. I'll put it this way....while she will be 40 this year....it's like having a 2 year old again and I don't seem to move as quick as I use too. (smile)
I still pop in here.....and it looks like this new medication is going to help some, so I'll be around.
I'll contribute when I can....heck...you all are the only entertainment I get anymore. (smile)
Cheers!!

Still here, lads. Just settling in back home (after the restoration of our house to normal following the fire) and have a few matters to take care of before I can sign it off with the insurance company.

And I'm still here too despite my health issues of last year. My chemo finished in January when they decided that a suitable period had elapsed after I'd been judged clear of my Lymphoma. I slipped off for a week in early February to Hurghada on the Red Sea in Egypt for some much needed sunshine and had scans in March that confirmed I'm clear of that God-awful disease.
Since then I've been getting my three aircraft (yes, three I have to say) ship-shape and ready to fly after not having flown for the best part of a year. They're now all ready to go except we've had the worst spring that anyone can remember with incessant rain (that's after the best summer people can remember while I was laid up) which has resulted in our airfield runway remaining waterlogged and unusable right up to the present day.
Was doing a bit of flightsim with X-Plane 11 and put together a few sceneries one of which, Ste Foy la Grande, I've uploaded to Simviation and Avsim. But I've lost interest again now and haven't got around to getting the others ready and also uploaded.
I'm just praying for a break in the weather so I can get airborne again for real as it's been far too long and life is just too short, as I'm now so well aware.

....scans in March that confirmed I'm clear of that God-awful disease. That is excellent news, Roger. I'm delighted to read it. Since then I've been getting my three aircraft (yes, three I have to say) .... What is the name of your airline...."Rojair"?

Thanks Bruce - next milestone is more scans in the 1st week of July (six months after the last ones) and then to go for two years clear. They say that when you reach that you are pretty certain of having a normal rest of your life, but until then I'm just going to keep going at full throttle. Yes, the fleet thing is a little bit embarrassing really as it wasn't ever intended. I intended to sell the X-Air when I bought the Savannah but a small technical fault developed that needed some attention. Then, of course, I became unwell and couldn't do the work until I'd recovered sufficiently after which it was winter and too late to put it on the market. And in the meantime I had my Weedhopper project running in the background. You'll remember that after coming to France I ended up in the trees in the aircraft that I'd flown down from the UK in. The insurance paid out and I was able to buy the X-Air and they allowed me to keep the 'wreck' (it wasn't that bad actually) as it would have been uneconomic to return it to the UK. The engine was still OK but at the time I didn't know what to do with it until I spotted a French version of the same aircraft being sold with 'bottom' damage while mine was damaged 'on top'. I acquired it for peanuts and made it good using my old engine and instrument panel plus bits from my old UK aircraft and finished the job in October 2016 actually, too late to get it into the air. The idea was to get it re-validated in the spring of 2017 but that again was thrown out by my illness. But now it's all sorted and I just need some good weather to get all three aircraft back in the air again. I'm particularly pleased about the Weedhopper because by creating a good aircraft out of the two damaged ones I feel that the situation has been redeemed and a line can be drawn under it, which ultimately is personally very satisfying for me. I hope to be able to sell the X-Air ASAP but hang on to the Weedhopper. The reason for that is that it is slower than both the Savannah (much!) and the X-Air and flies at the same speed as my Dutch pal Wim's aircraft. He's been thinking about possibly hanging up his goggles which would be a sad day for me too and I think that if we can fly together it'll keep him involved. Eventually though, I will end up back with just the one aircraft, the Savannah. But life can be very unpredictable, as I have found out from first hand Roger

That's all that we can do at our ages, Roger - just keep the pedal to the metal and plough ahead for as long as possible. But life can be very unpredictable, as I have found out from first hand Ain't THAT the truth, mate?!! Not that it compares with your health issue but I certainly wasn't expecting to have to have a house fire just so that I could get the $hitty carpet replaced with something decent!

And it disappoints me - that is, my own self for being a ghost here. Thought I would have more time out of college, yeah, filled whatever time I gained with an airplane! 13 years here though, and still is a huge part of how I ended up where I am today. Don't buzz off! Hope you're all doing well.

Yep, I pop in from time to time. Sad that the "sport" of flight sim has mostly died out. Real world flight has become very expensive to maintain as well but we keep on keeping on right? I do miss all the hours of flight sim and all the pics and videos I used to post and all the ones by others I used to enjoy as well.
