I think I just died and went to heaven !! Here I am on an aviation website...... .......and it has a forum on food !! If you look at my avatar you may notice a certain "chubbiness" around the cheeks indicating an interest in one of my favourite subjects in this world. Someone mentioned breakfast ? There is only one proper breakfast ..... 2 grilled pork sausages, fried egg sunny up on fried bread, streaky bacon slightly brown but definitely NOT burnt at the edges, lightly grilled ( NOT fried, it goes hard and curls up ) black pudding, grilled mushrooms, baked beans ( heated in a saucepan, NOT microwaved ) doorstep thick bread and butter and a good size MUG ( NOT a poofy cup ) of strong tea with one sugar....after all, you have to cut the calories somewhere !! I'm coming to Florida in the middle of September. Last time that happened all the beef steak cows headed for the hills. ;D

Brian, we share the love of food and simming. I like your breakfast suggestion, only drop the back puddin'...just not to my taste. My Yorkshire friends tell me I am foolish to pass up such a delicacy, but i just double up on the bangers.

I grew up on a pig farm so I have had my fill of awful offal. My first wife's father used to make all sorts of sausage including blood sausage which is the same as black pudding I think. I never tried it He also made hogshead cheese which was great on common crackers. Up in the Northern part of Maine where there is a large population of French-Canadian ancestry they make a nice snack called Creton... I prefer it to hogshead cheese for spreading on crackers www.recettes.qc.ca/recettes/index.php?id=160
