Fixed the problem .... well, it is perhaps a tedious perhaps ... but it works... using AFCAD I went in and changed the taxiways from asphalt to coral - in my case, I am defaulting out of Ingalls Field in Virginia. I would suspect that this may turn out to be a case by case situation.... namely any airport or field you fly into ... if the taxi ways are black ... make note to change them using AFCAD ... but then ... do you really care what color the taxiways are at airports you haven't flown to yet ... LOLOL If I may, Tom ... a quick question ... Golden Hawaii ... doI need to install this into W3 or was it already provided for. AND, lest I forget... FANTASTIC WORK Lynn and Bill and Tom, your patience in answering questions and providing helpful hints are a godsend.

Yes, you need to install it. Its not there now And if you go to the Custom Classics FAQ you'll find a way to get New Zealand back

great... oh, here is something interesting... perhaps... I changed the taxiways at ingalls, as I mentioned... and flew my first flight down to Charlotteville .... and by the time I got there ... word must have spread...because low and behold ... the taxi-ways were NOT black.... I am anxious to fly over to Washington National .... as I have already modified the AFCAD file to more closely approximate the airport when it opened ... I have the exclude files ready (created in the modern flightsim) but won't insert them unless needed - the first look at the afcad in W3 indicated a layout simular to the modern Reagan National ... mine, made according to some photos ... and will be modified as I find more ... is more like the original layout ... or close enough for government work at this point. NOW if some scenery wizzard (I wish I were) could create some of the wonderful building macros of Lynn and Bill's (with their permission of course) into RWY12 usable file ... BOY will I be in hog heaven.

Bill doesn't use G-Max so it is unlikely his macros can be made RWY12 compatable. Glad your black taxiways are gone

I would be honored to ... I have found a few photos at the Airport Authority's website... and viewing the main terminal in a great photo from the tarmac side ... it is appearent that there are buildings...perhaps hangers to the left of the terminal ... but I am not sure what is to the right ... but certainly not the expanse of terminal that is part of the "modern addition" so the exclude files I created, eliminates terminal buildings to the north of the main terminal and also eliminates the tarmac ... and simplifies the taxiways somewhat ... let me poke around a bit more ... and I will send them the file...if they find that it is a small help ... that would be great.

I had installed GW3 before the FS9 patch so I just deleted and repeated the process. When I first went to the Nice/Côte d'Azur airport, the one I use for my tests, I HAD the black taxiways. Then I remembered that I forgot to the delete the taxway_detail.bmp. Closed GW3, deleted the file, went back in and all was OK So, my guess is that the black taxiways is simply a scenery cache problem - since natedanger mentioned he did deleted the bitmap in the first place. There's a clear cache checkbox in the scenery library, I believe. Try that

That would be the easiest way. Just re-run the install, All the other steps should be ok.
