Hi Guys, Just in time for the weekend I have just uploaded the first of probably many updates to Golden Wings. There is a laundry list of things added or fixed in the readme. Not mentioned is a last minute addition of Croydon air field in London by Gary Burns, Thanks Gary! The file is about 13megs and is at: theoldhangar.adventureasylum.com/

Bill just a thought - whilst these extra sceneries i.e. Croydon & Hawkinge are trully excellent and I don't want to detract from all work that has gone into them -I can see the logic in working on the background improvements to GW3 i.e. ai aircraft, removing airfields not there ect, AFCAD work, but am thinking should scenery additions, like airfields, be better to be supplied as add-on downloads to the basic GW3 package rather than an integral part of it, then people can choose to add them or not?

Bill and Lynn, I'm glad to see you two back. I d/l'd the update but the notes talk of putting my default flight in the Golden Wings flight folder, as discussed "the the documents." What documents, Bill? And which file is my default flight? I want to make sure I do this right. Bob

Bill/Gary, the update is great!! GW3 was excellent as it was and already there is an update with better and newer features. It installed just fine and I have been flying around in it for the past two hours or so with no problems. Ed is right - the Ground Fog and the Smoke themes are a welcomed addition - they look splendid - especially around Seattle or any port for that matter - and no more cranes. A continued thank you - Dan One of these nights I'm going to get some sleep - - -
…it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Appreciate all the hard work and effort that's gone into this Bill and Lynn, and thanks also to the other contributers too. The only thing that prevents this from effectively being a whole new sim are the constraints of the Fs9 architecture! However what a boon it is that MS left it open architecture.
Cheers
Roger

I for one feel like this is a whole new simulator...no need to get rid of those pesky tubeliners and have to dodge around modern cities and airports. ;D
With the creativity of this group...led by Bill and Lynn...I suspect this sim may very well take on a life of its own.
Thanks much guys!!
