Yes, This is a weird one. The lights do not work in GW3 but work fine in FS9... yes all files required are in the effects file in GW3. Not sure, but might be an effects problem, haven't dug into it yet, but ALL lights, landing, taxi, strobes, wingtips, use the SAME effects file. But that being a reason don't really make any sence either... Nothing major just wanted to see if anyone else has come across this? The aircraft isn't a GW3 aircraft so that's why not to worried about it. It's the KBT P-3 (All variants released). FS9 takes all day and a year to load, so tossed 'em in GW3 for a quitck flight. I have manually moved files, and I have used the installer. I have even uninstalled from FS9, including deleting the effects files. Then manually moving files from GW3 to FS9 and the lights still work in FS9... A true head scratcher...

Hi There, I think you will find that it's not really a problem at all , what it is , is back in the Golden Age (1919 - 1939) we didn't have things such as runway, taxiway and landing lights and most of these features don't work on GW3 for that very reason !!
Cheers Ian

All lighting generated by halo.bmp is not present in FSGW. That would include many aircraft lights as well as all airport lights. It was a quick & easy solution to eliminating the approach lighting from airports, a major distraction in GW flying. The alternative is to bring up every airport in FS in AFCAD2 and remove the lights If someone wants to do that, we can put the halo.bmp back I am doing it to each airport I work on but it will be several years before I finish New England.

Ahhh, thought maybe it was something like that... Thanks... Maybe something I can toss in when what to get out a quick flight in a "newer" aircraft. My FS9 takes all day and a year to load.

Yup, you can swap it in and out just fine. I do whan I am experimenting Along those lines I am thinking about 2-3 more FS9 installs for some special set-ups like one just for my FranceVFR stuff Then I can choose some planes for each setup and everything will be faster The biggest slowdown iis those 400 airplanes in FS9 LOL
