I realize that the runways, airports and buildings at the airports have been "regressed" back to the 1930s, but, I was wondering if there was anything that is able to be done with the "black" taxiways"? OR was this fixed in one of the updates?? (which I have, but I havn't installed yet) I placed my new Spartan (With repaint by Kieth Thank-you!) at Miami (for fun) and of course, there was no airport, but there was plenty of room to take off. Then, I "think" it was Opa Locka airport that was there, and the taxiways are very black. (Just an example) Thanks! Jim

This isn't an uncommon problem, Jim, I had it myself. If you go to page 8 in this Golden Wings Support Forum, you'll find the issue addressed and a couple of suggestions. The first is to make certain you deleted the taxiway_detail.bmp as direction in the installation instructions. After that, Bill Lyons has other suggestions that are beyond my limited ability remember "off the cuff". In the meantime, if you're into Florida, Jon Masterson (scruffyduck) had a very nice rendition of Pan Am field you can add to your GW3 installation for a period-correct airport at Miami. jim

Thanks Jim, I am thinking that my problem lies with my older graphics card. So, I got the textures that Bill Lyons had there for download. Now, it looks better, the taxiways now have a "sidewalk" concrete look to them. Better for large airports, but not so great at the small "grass" strips. This is OK for now though... untill I upgrade. Also, the whole reason I flew into Florida was because of "Scruffduck" and his Miami "up-grade". I just went there to check it out before I added his scenery. (Which I didn't do yet... as I got involved with the taxiway instead) Thanks again for your help! Jim
