This is a note of thanks to you and all who contributed to the development of Golden Wings 3 and making it available to folks like me.
In many ways I prefer the Golden Wings 3 version of FS2004 to Flight Simulator X. It is a colorful, flexible and user-friendly platform for my many add-ons, like Glacier Bay, Hawaii and the Hughes Racer, that folks like you have so kindly given to the flight simulator community. I am an old guy, retired Korea War era military on a modest pension, and Golden Wings 3 really helps me to get out of the house. Forgive my violating the era theme by adding USA Roads, but I fly a lot VFR cross-country.
Golden Wings 3 gives me a quality vacation, any time I want one--and I never fly it without learning something new. I have a question, however. Is it possible to correct the coal-black texture of the airport ramps and taxiways, in my installation? I must have goofed while installing--or overlooked a texture somewhere.
Thank you, again, for a great NEW flight simulator.

Hi Albert, welcome to TOH Sounds like you may have missed the instruction (step #5) to delete 'taxiway_detail.bmp' from the main Texture folder. This should remove the 'black' and render the taxiways and aprons to grass to better depict the era. If that doesn't solve the problem, here is an earlier thread that may offer additional help. mainescenery.proboards24.com/index.cgi?board=gold&action=display&thread=1173527454Dave

Welcome Albert.
Dave's suggestions should do the job. Let us know if there's any problems.
Cheers,
Roger.
