One thing that really bugs me using scenery design tools that can add roads, tracks etc (I use FSSC and have used Airport) is that they are all hard edged. In real life especially in country areas - and certainly in the 30's the edges of roads etc would be broken up with grass, gravel and so on. Also farm tracks are like a couple of ruts.
Is there something that I am missing (I am a novice at this sort of thing) or is there a way to do it
All suggestions much appreciated
Jon

I have nevewr been happy with the roads made by Airport or FSSC so I don't use any.

try Ground2k4,
I dont use those other progs, but G2k uses VTP lines and they are fuzzy not sharp.

yes the lines will cling Tom, plus it does a lot more in a simple UI. G2k is prolly the most indespensible tool in my arsenal. YOU MUST TRY IT!! I love it for shorelines and roads, nothing better IMO. if you have trouble just yell, i'll be here sweeping up. joe

Hi Is this what you mean? Its something I was playing around with a while ago but as the norm I got side tracked Its just a simple edit of the default road.bmp's with a terrain.cfg edit to remove the underlining polly textures for the roads, so you can use a basic alpha channel to give them them the blended look cheers Wozza

Yet another good idea. That's a cute little bird you've got there, Wozza

Wozza's been mixing his T stoff and C stoff and is lucky he didn't explode on take-off ;D
I know it's not in the bounds of TOH, but I want that when it's out and I promise to be careful with those chemicals!
