I apologize for even bringing this up, 'cause I know it's been addressed before, but now I can't find the thread , so-
I spend much of my time in GW3 (and FS9) flying out of San Carlos, CA. The GW3 version of the field itself looks very much as it did in the mid 60s (and probably for two decades before that), but it is surrounded by houses and trees right up to the east end of the runway. In reality, there wasn't a tree in either direction from the highway to the bay, nor were there any houses or roads or much of anything except bunch grass and the 200-300 foot high white piles of Leslie Salt a couple of miles east. How do I remove all those trees and the houses and restore my wetlands? Thanks, jim

Go to Avsim and get this: Its easy to learn and with a little trial and error you can alter the landclass for your neighborhood.
EZ-Landclass is a program that allows you to change the placement of landclass and waterclass textures in Microsoft Flight Simulatorâ„¢ 2002 & 2004. You can use it to add small towns that MS left out, for instance, or to correct the type of vegetation or ground cover in a certain area. Easy to use dialog boxes and project oriented scenery files are just two of the highlights of this program. Requires Microsoft Excel 97 or later. Freeware.
- This new release adds support for FS2004, uses FSConnect rather than FSUIPC, and now supports Waterclass textures!

Or maybe not. Gotta get Excel first. (And I thought I had EVERYTHING on this machine!) Anyway I now know what I need, so thanks, again. jim

If you dont have/want Excel check (avsim) for 'Landclass Assistant' by John Cillis. Links to sim with FSConnect.
Or maybe better yet, look for SBuilder 2.05 (avsim), a multi-function scenery builder. The landclass tool is nice in that you view the plates (not just numbers or description) in the selection window and work windows. Links to sim with FSUIPC.
