I am not sure if this is the right forum... but it is the closest I can find... I have a scenery problem. Working on Locating and developing a scenery for Checkerboard Air Field in Maywood, Il ... found the co-ordinates ... tried to use the map function to locate the aircraft there ... but program crashes when I do. Then I used AFCAD to create a location and start point ... that works fine. Once there, when I try to slew to begin to exclude... the system stalls and I get this message ... which has been something that for some reason has been cropping up lately ... though the exact content is a bit different... it centers on Microsoft Visual C++ Run Time Library (go figure, ever notice that the ONLY programs that give microsoft systems problems tend to be MICROSOFT PROGRAMS!!) This particular message - as I attempt to slew withing the location ... "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Proram: C\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSGW3\FSGW.exe.exe R6025 - Pure Virtual Function Call Any Ideas? ?? Dale

Look in your FSGW folder and see if the file is actually namesd FSGW.exe.exe
if it is, remove one of the .exe extensions

Did you change the name of the exe file to fsgw.exe?

I am wondering ... when I initally installed GW3 if I didn't reame the fsgw ...as fsgw.exe and just remaining it didn't do it... perhaps that might be why it is listed as fsgw.exe and seeing the details calling it a .cfg file

going to try renaming the fsgw.exe that shows as a config to xfsgw.exe leaving only a file called fswg (which also is identified as a .cfg file) and see if it has any impact.

Dale- I am talking about in the FSGW folder, not in the folder with the cfgs in it. What is the exe file that you start the sim with? IF it is C\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSGW3\FSGW.exe.exe then remove one of the .exe so that it says C\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSGW3\FSGW.exe THEN start the sim and load a flight. Then close the sim and go to the folder Owner\Microsoft\FS9 and remove all cfg files except fsgw.cfg

no... there is only FSWG.exe in that file .. I discovered that the "duplicate .cfg file... lord knows where they came from.. one brought me back to as if I had just installed it and the other is the one I have developed since having installed GW3 ... One side note ... when I brought up sim testing each ... the one that brought me back to the begining..if you will, brought back the default display setting of 800x600x32bit ... I was pleasently surprised to find that it looked great...and as I have all my bars pushed to the right ... unlike the 1024x768x32bit it ran, I think extremely well...

Dale -
From your earlier post, it sounds like you do not have file extensions visible by default. Open up the folder with your fsgw installation (e.g., C\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSGW3), select "Folder Options" on the Tools menu, click the "View" tab, and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". Then check the issue that Tom has raised about the file name.
