A friend of mine, not a simmer but just curious about what I'd been up to, was perusing the little website on which I had some GW screenshots posted. He wrote:
"I'd love to see a version of Glenview's Curtiss-Wright Field (later the Glenview Naval Base and precursor to Midway and O'Hare). "
This sounds like a very interesting idea, though not something I'd personally want to take on. Would anybody be interested in the project?

Well, maybe somebody will revive it. Sounds like a really worthwhile project; there's a definite need for work in the Chicago area. Personally I wouldn't know where to start.

Hi all that is a project that I have been looking at . I use to live up there and I found a site that has the 13 airfield that was part of the navy training program in the midwest. one was just ten miles from the house and was turned into a nike site in the Sixties. It was a big airfield. In veron hills Ill. It will be a while before I start because I am working on a short mail route in East Tn right now. but with winter coming on maybe It will be easyer to work on it. I dont like to set with the computer when I can be out side. If anyone wants to start on it . Email me or PM me and maybe we can get together on it and work something out.
