Was looking for some info -- really photos of Falwell Airport .. here in Lynchburg. Just downloaded Virginia mesh and have WVa Mesh, thought I would "hang" close to home. No, Falwaell Airport was NOT owned by the late Jerry ... rather by his brother ... and a great guy (night and day was the difference) - Who also owns the Hillcats, minor league club (I think "A" ball) and made his money in construction. Cal (or Calvin) Falwell ... would always be the first to tell you that his family was loaded ... yep the late Jerry came from a wealthy family ... which is fine. I think even Jerry admitted to that. BUT, what Cal will tell you that Jerry NEVER would is that they made their money in MOONSHINE. I think that's rather neat. ANYWAY ... found this website ... the guys name is Paul Freeman and he is a Katrana owner and driver ... his site has great photos of some of the smaller airports in VIrginia .. www.members.tripod.com/planes_freeman/airports_VA.htm

It needs some odds and ends ... like some fuel tanks and a fuel pump (that I have and I think I remember which file at avsim had some fuel storage tanks that might do nicely ... The row hanger is from scubakobbe's scenery collection from his upcoming scenery.

Actually Jerry Falwell was never one to hide family secrets. His autobiography, 'stength for the journey', tells all about how his dad made money in various illegal activities, yes moonshine, but also operating speak easys, illegal promotions and bookmaking of cock fights, and worst of all to Baptists: operating dance halls. Jerry was quite candid concerning the Cain v. Abel gunfight where his father Carey Falwell shot and killed his own brother Garland.
