Hi all, I have three versions of FS9 - Standard, Silver Wings and Golden Wings. My question is how does one use AFCAD2 with all three?? Silver Wings is the latest addition and appears to be the only one that AFCAD2 recognizes. I have dummy .exe files in GW & SW which works with other programs. I can find airports in each version but AFCAD2 only knows about the aircraft list in SW. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Fred Z.

Hi Fred, wow, that's a teazer. Mine always goes to FS9 in the Microsoft Games directory. Maybe it has to do with which version was registred last, I have all three on my machine, but GW, and SW are in different directories, and I made dummy registry entries for each.
I have the same problem accessing specific airports from the two modified versions of FS9 from the base airport list, unless I have already saved the airport to the ADDON scenery directory. So, if I want to change a current day airport to Golden Age, I just grab the one from FS9, modify it, and save to the ADDON directory of the GW/SW versions.
Maybe you need to check the registry to see which directory the registry entry is pointed to. RUN regedit, then follow this path....HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0 . My SetupPath shows C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator\ . Other than that I have no clues.
Good luck Fred

AFCAD only looks in the FS2004 folder for airports Fred, but it rechecks them every time you open it. Just rename the folder you want to work in back to FS2004 and rename the (other) FS2004 folder until you're finished.

In the "open airports" menu, you can choose "from a specific file." You can use "save as" to put it back in the proper place. Perhaps the most convenient method though, especially if you plan to do a lot of work would be Jeff's suggestion to rename the folders while working.
