Sorry if this is a repeat, but this site is way too cool not to share! www.airfields-freeman.com/Tons of abandoned airfields and other neat stuff! Lots of fun. One in particular caught my attention, and that is Ford Airport, now the Ford Proving Grounds in Dearborn MI. It was the home of the Tin Goose, as well as the first modern airport according to the site. I would think that such a historically signifcant airport from this time period could not stay out of Golden Wings forever! Any of you true artists care to take a crack at this beauty? www.airfields-freeman.com/MI/Airfields_MI_Detroit_NW.html#ford

Hi spek, that's a good site. I've spent many an hour roaming around there. And welcome to The Old Hangar.

A very good site. bought back some good and bad memory's. Good memory. I learn to fly at Wallace Airfield, Terrell, TX. William the only one left of the family taught me. Learned in ann old T-craft.
