Not sure if this is the right subforum or not, but here it goes! Would any GW3 scenery designer be able to tell me what is the most sought after scenery objects, but haven't been available? When I designed my first piece of GW3 scenery I sure noticed a lack in "old" objects. My knowledge of creating objects in FSDS has since expanded, and I feel comfortable with what I know to create scenery objects. So, if any GW3 designer would like an object, that they can't find to download, maybe I could help and create it for you. Then again there are the brains, such as Spad, that could probably take up a wished-for-object and have it glimmering in the GW3 sun in no time! Well, this was just an offer, maybe the GW3 designers know how to manipulate FSDS/Gmax, and don't need me..that would certainly be helpful on their part! This can be an open thread for discussion and requests I guess, -Kobbe

Have any ideas for a WWI object? I guess I could do some google image searches, but I really have no clue what would be considered a WWI object. ;D I don't know a lot about that time, but my grandfather was in WWII! Although I don't know much about that either. But yah, maybe some WWI objects could inspire a designer to work with some airfields in that time period.

Kind offer Kobbe - with lots of tech support from Leyland Spurr I'm trying to create a UK WWI airfield but have found there are few objects/buildings suitable. So how do you feel about British architecture from that period, aircraft and airship sheds, domestic and tech buildings, barracks, hydrogen plants ??
Any suitable objects appreciated and we do have a few photos to provide the flavour! I am producing some but my output is pretty slow.
;D

When I designed my first piece of GW3 scenery I sure noticed a lack in "old" objects. One thing people need to remember when designing objects for for GW3. When you say old objects you must remember that they are old today, but a lot of buildings, hangars etc you would find on a 1930's airfield in the 1930's were new. So don't design them the way they look today, "old", but design them the way the looked in the 30's, "new".

Some photos would be real nice, just email me some of them (Email icon below my avatar) if you can. In the mean time I will see what I can do with some of the objects you listed. Also, if you are using FSDS v3 I can send you the source files if you want to add/modify them. If you tried out my Van Nuys scenery for GW3 you would see some of the objects I made, like this hangar: I happened to lose the source file for that hangar, while trying to reduce the number of folders in My Documents 29 to 15 ;D So I could only provide an EZ-Scenery BGL and textures for that object.. BUT, for any ones I create for your scenery, tell me how you want them, I can provide a source file, BGL, mdl, or .x file. -Kobbe

Just got done with one barrack. Here is a shot of it from FSDS: Well whattya think? I can export it to MDL if you want... just let me know how you want it. Sunny side up? I would still like to have some photos though, that would help alot! Because it is hard to find old photos of those objects you listed. I can only find new photos such as this hyrdogren plant:
