I was wondering if there was going to be an update for this little beauty since I seem to have run into a couple of little ...hmmmm...not glitches. More like some things that could use some work. Any repainter could use some remapping of the texture areas if an update will be released. The biggest bugaboo I've run into so far is the 'stinson1' texture template. It seems to be shared between multiple areas and here's a list. Gear Struts, Jury Struts, Wheel Fairings, Gear Shocks, Wing Struts....everything in that list could be a shared texture except for the wheel fairings. The worst part about the Stinson1 texture is that it's also used by the cockpit roof and the outer edges of the horizontal stabilizer and the elevators. This makes it a bit difficult to repaint. There are only a couple of real world paint schemes I've been able to find online, so most repaints will be 'fictional' and any aid in making the aircraft easier (actually, more complex to repaint would be of enormous benefit. I also can't seem to get her to go any faster than about 115 mph unless I'm in a dive. Are you sure this was America's Fastest Trimotor? ;D Rgds: Jeff

Hi Wrongway:
About the textures, agreed, the texture mapping makes repainting a 'challange'.
Can anybody point me to a good mid-30s Delta livery?
About your 115 mph, my model A cruises happily at 125 kts (144 mph) indicated. Thats 'on the numbers' at 1850 rpm, 24 inches manifold pressure, at about 3000 ft. Are you setting prop pitch and throttle 'by the numbers'? How about retracting the gear?
Shes a very nice plane, imho and pairs nicely with Bill Lyon's Stinson Gullwing - which is also quite a challange to repaint.

Whups....I think I may have left a notch of flaps out since she seems to be flying fine now. My fingers retract and extend the gear even in fixed gear planes these days, like some sort of built in reflex. Must've been all those belly landings! Rgds: Jeff
