Hi gang, I think that once FSX is announced and its time-frame (Xmas'06) well established, fewer and fewer people will be willing to spend a cent for anything (read commercial add-ons) that might well be useless within a year, or not fully compatible anyway.
I for one will hardly do (in fact, I've already cancelled a couple add-ons I had been considering).
What do you think?
Happy landings,

That may be the case for some people, but for others who intend on not buying FS X will be grateful for the add-ons. I think most of the popular companies that make add-ons will just move on and start making FS X addons, while some may also make FS9 addons, just not as often. With two simulators to create addons for, they will surely have a job to do, and may make more money buy doing it.
I am FOR SURE purchasing FS X, so I won't be one of those that buy FS9 addons.

Hmm, well maybe a few months after its release. I am sure that I will be so busy enjoying the new simulator that I won't be wanting new addons. I would like to get a cessna citation addon for FS X. Man, all this talk is making me anxious. I know I know, I still have a year, but who says I can't anticipate it?
