Who knows if this is for real or not, but it sure seems legit (and is from a legit site) www.gamespot.com/promos/2006/flightsimulatorx-demo/index.htmlI looked to see if you would need to be a paying registered member and it doesnt appear so, I went to some random file download and there was a public server link. This is so exciting!

How did you do that? I went to FilePlanet and they said you need to be a paid member to participate!!! I will check out what your link has to offer... [glow=red,2,300]Hear this![/glow] Flight Simulator X will be available in stores October 3, 2006. Ok, yes you DO have to be paid member. You must have been referred to FilePlanet, then Gamespot. But both require you to be a paid member. I can wait til August I think...I hope....

FilePlanet has a beta. you must be a subscriber. The beta will have the whole sim as it existed when the beta disks were burned.
Gamespot will have the official DEMO, not the same thing as the beta. The demo will have limited things to try, not the whole sim. It should be a free download.

Free to download if you are a paid member. Gamestop is showing me I have to pay something like $3 a month for membership, then once I'm a member I can download the demo. Might as well pay for FilePlanet membership and get the beta instead. 2 days left to keep your eyes out though.

The only thing I see that discusses downloading FSX is the subscribe now thingy. Or, it won't show up until tomorrow when it's released? Hmm I don't know. But I want to test my computer's performance with FS-X...hope I can handle the higher settings!

I went to see if you could download other demos for free and found that with some random demos (as in demos I dont care about lol) had links for downloads for their subscribers a free public server

Alright, got it. (Almost ) Should be downloaded in 30 hours... Well, tomorrow I should be flying around FS-X. The coast line looks great at St. Maarten, from the video I saw... Wait! Just checked the download status... make that [glow=red,2,300]110 hours![/glow] Keith said that it was a nightmare to download, and now I see why! ----- Update: Ok it is shown as downloaded in my download manager. But now it is being shown as "not a valid Win32 program". Hah! Looks like the server cut my download short, this is going to be one heck of a download....
