What is all this talking about a new "co-pilot" function?
(PS: if beta tester cannot reply, simply ignore my question....)

What is all this talking about a new "co-pilot" function? (PS: if beta tester cannot reply, simply ignore my question....) The NDA is lifted so I can talk. On this subject I can't comment from experience so I will tell you what the plan is. The new multi-player system has a lot of features. First the main host for multi-player will be Gamespy. (No Comment.) Apparently hosting a session is possible on your computer but I don't know it that is LAN only. Now the "good news"... In Multi-player, people can share the same airplane (obviusly they must have the identical aircraft) Some co-pilot functions will be available. You will have to wait for the release to see how much the co-pilot can do. I think it would be great to be able to team fly a Boeing 314 or a DC-4 or a B-17. Also one (or more) users in the session can be ATC with a Tower control panel instead of an aircraft.

Cool! That will be real fun to have a co-pilot. At first, maybe I could have a FO make the call outs, do flaps, and put the gear down and such. Or maybe I will be the FO! ;D Sounds like being ATC has just gotten easier. I was almost 100% certain they would have a feature like that, and to hear they do, and you have a panel sort of thing, is even better! People are mainly judging their ideas of FS-X on the graphics, when they see the great new features such as missions, ATC, co-pilots and all, I think more will turn to it. If their computer can handle it that is!
