Tom I posted about this on another forum and was told that yes it and FSNavigator and FSHost would be supported. Can you confirm this? I can tell you that there will be an FSX version of FSUIPC. That is definite. I have also heard that Helge is working on a new FS Nav. I have no first hand knowledge. The changes to the multi-player make me wonder about FS Host but I have no information to share on that There is a fundamental "under the hood" change in FSX that eliminates the modules folder and begins a new interface called SimConnect that will revolutionize how developers are able to interact with FS, not only with a new interface, but with continuous development of SimConnect after FSX is released. This means a major change in many programs but most if not all of the big utility developers are on the beta team and are already working toward FSX versions. I am sorry I can't give you any details at all because Beta Forum posts are still and will remain private and confidential property of Microsoft. However, you may expect many FSX addons to appear immediately after release of FSX and in the weeks that follow. One further word, don't be looking for a lot of free updates because almost all utilities need to be completely rebuilt, not just tweaked to be made compatable. This includes some aircraft that do everything but baby-sit your kids. Some scenery will also have to be rebuilt or at least recompiled. There will be growing pains (I'm out of the scenery making business) but, long term the changes will make the sim better.

ok thanks Tom for the info. I had heard a new build of FSNav is coming for FSX just wonder how the new multiplayer set up is going to work as far as password protected servers for the various clubs and VA's. Using FShost I've been hosting the server for our club and would like to continue that but it has to be able to be passworded too.

The author of FS Host is on the beta team so perhaps he will be able to make a new version of FS Host that will work with FSX. I hope so because I'm not going to gamespy. Unfortunately I just don't know the answer.

I also wouldn't want to use Gamespy. Sometimes it requires you to download software and then you start getting ads, whattya know! MSN Zone also was a host, but they made it confusing to get around and actually have deleted that service this year. If they do come out with FS Host, I wonder if it will allow the exact same features you get if you use Gamespy.
