Well now there's a solution, that hasn't been available for any Microsoft Flight Simulators, it's the Official Game Guide for FS-X. Everyone is talking about FS-X becoming more like a game rather then a simulator, and that's physical proof right there, no numbers involved! It probably has step by step guide to completing each mission and how to set flaps and put the gear down to land the 737. Anyone planning on buying the guide?

Not me. I don't do gaming guides. I will never have a problem landing a 737 either.

Don't be paranoid, game guides for MS FS has existed since version # hmmm well I don't remember, but for a long time ;D. BTW I don't do heavy jets but they're often interesting to fly (no FMC please) because being what they are, heavy, they need of lot of careful planning. You just don't pour in 20 inches more to get you out of trouble or sideslip. You gotta be careful of what you do.

Marginal value is an understatement.
The only guides I really liked were those of Falcon 3.0. Now, I show my age, ain't I ?

Guide, yea in the begining I would get some of them. Then I came to the realization the guy writing them know less than me.Maby real world pilot hints would help. But that info is avaiable "FREE' Just a crutch for the unsure.Maby for making a cake ya need one,,but for Flying? Ground school is better.Any way ya crash on a sim,no problem.Just do it again.Thats the best teacher.VIN

Hmm.. I didn't realize that they had guides for previous versions. Probably because no guides show up when I do searches in the stores, and this was the first time a guide did show up so it was a surprise to me. Ok for all you that don't fly the 737, it probably will tell you how to land the Cub! ;D

AHH,!the CUB, in that case only a rolled up Sec. chart was used.Applied to the top of your head ,vigorously, and accompanied by appropriate remarks .Not unlike the bumblebee, who also was not supposed to fly, some just do it? Cheers to ya in sunny Calif. Its over a 100deg. here in the bone yard today(Fl.that is) too hot to fly, except on a Sim ,but of course. LOL VIN

LOL VIN The sun has odd patterns here, in the mornings you want to wear 2 sweatshirts and in the day you regret bringing anything! Weather here has dropped 40 degrees in 1 & 1/2 months. It still finds its way in to the 90's though... ;D
