In my quest to make FSX flyable on my computer I took some more screen shots of places where I am testing my FSX settings. Right now my scenery settings are set in the middle range except for scenery which is dense. If you don't set the scenery slider to dense you don't have any hangars and building at general aviation airports. With these settings I get 15-20 fps except when flying over or taking off from major airports. The these two shots are of Honolulu. Not too bad looking except that when I was taking off from Honolulu International my framerates dropped to .4 fps. These three shots are of NE Oklahoma, again not to bad but I think FSX uses to much tan in their color schemes. After spotting these tan rectangles I went to Map view and it turns out they are private air fields. They look more like band aids.

I actually get rather good framerates at Honolulu. Airports by the ocean are where I get the best rates. My autogen is turned way down and the airport vehicles are rarely seen, while the rest of the settings are high.
I am satisfied with how it runs right now, but I wish I could turn on more autogen without adversly affecting the framerates.
That big tan block will help you spot airports in FS-X. It really looks like that the designers forgot to water the grass in a lot of areas like Alaska and California.
Some smooth blending on the edges would be nice if they can't correct the horrible land class textures.
