Reuters, January 22nd. 1928After almost two-month's delay in Malta due to damage to his aeroplane, Sir Alan, Lady Gladys and crew have at last made landfall on the African continent, arriving last night in Benghazi, capital of the Italian colony of Libya. Early today the intrepid adventurers departed that location and flew along the coastline of the colony as far as the insignificant port of Tobruk, which, although a minor town, has an excellent, protected anchorage. This evening the local Governor will host the Cobham's and their party with a dinner at his colonial residence. Sir Alan and crew are expected in Alexandria tomorrow afternoon.
