Where has all the time gone? Here we are on NAT day number 20 already and the July heat is still beating down on us as we make our way to the first stop of the day at Joliet, Ill. This field looks like it is nicely laid out and I shouldn't have any trouble making a landing here....provided.... That I'm at the correct field. A quick low flight over the hanger should provide the answer that I'm looking for. Lucky for me I was told before I left Davenport that the Joliet airfield has a large 'M' painted on one side of the hanger roof while the other side does name the town. Dead reckoning triumphs again!! Just as I thought the landing was a snap. Better taxi up to the hanger for a checkup while I have some extra time. The maintenance crew is right on the money. The doors open while I make the turn into the hanger bay. Great! Engine off, wheel chucks on and now I'm ready for a little snack. The checkup is done and I'm finished feeding my face. Now, I need to move the plane to the NAT area and talk to all my fans. Look at the hospitality of this town! They've put sun shades up to keep us nice and cool, and is that lemonade I see? Can't spend too much time here because we've got one more stop to make before we can call it a day. Bill
