Hello all, I still got stuck with the old Airships and I still cannot build scenery objects. Would one of you talented out there see him/herself fit to make a Zeppelin-Hangar-Lib for use with EZ-Scenery? From ca 1910 on Europe was covered with airship facilities, each nation had several of them. I have been looking and searching up and down and there is nothing out that would fit nice in the way the LZ-127-Friedrichshafen-Shed does: Some do not work with EZ, some do not fit the atmosphere like the more modern Akron-Hangar, others are made like an iglu and wear writings like AirMuseum.... May I ask for somebody´s sparetime this way?

Hi Slide, I did build a pair of hangars that were the type used in Tillamook NAS, Moffet NAS, etc, but even though the interior of those hangars is large enough to fit the Graf Zeppelin and Hindenburg, they won't fit under the doors. The doors just aren't tall enough. I'm assuming you were looking at the Tillamook Air Museum hangar (..the one remaining. The other one there burned in 1991.) Here's a screenshot: Like I said, the hangar is plenty big, but the door frame is too low. These were build to house fleets of blimps. ...in this case, K Class. P.S. The hangar you see on the left is the one still standing and now has "Air Museum" painted on the side facing you. Yours,

Looks good. Maybe EZ-Scenery can blow it up a bit, so the doors would be large enough ;D So far I have used some of those: They came with ... something around a railroad in the American Northwest, can´t remember

Maybe a bit off topic but another shed I discovered is the still existing(!) one on Santa Crux Airfield, southwest of Rio de Janeiro. There's a nice picture to be found on Wiki (and it's BIG ): upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ef/Hangar_de_Zeppelins.jpgI read somewhere that the doors are 50 Metres high, weight 80 Tonnes each and are still in working order! And thanks to Walhalla I found out that the scenery, made by Gustavo Luna is available for FS. You'll find sbsc_ab.zip on www.flightsim.com. The scenery's Hall has static doors, half open. The Graf Zeppelin will fit in, but there's no (normal) way to get her out. So, not an answer for your question, but maybe another destination for a flight ! Theo (Google Earth: S22.9277 W43.7136 )
