Can anybody help please. I have recently downloaded GW3 and have added a few addons. the latest being scenery for inverness, etc. I can see static aircraft and a moth taxing from tower view and spot view but no aircraft from the cockpit. I have put scenery in usual place (add on scenery) and activated it and the textures in texture. Biggin Hill and Hawkinge work fine with spitfires eveywhere. roly

Hi Roly,
This is curious...you can see the AI plane at Inverness from spot and tower view but no plane when you are inside your own plane...is it right?

Hi
Yes that's correct, I remember that some years ago I had this same problem with some military airfield I had downloaded which I gave up on. At my age I am not too good at some of the procedures we have to do and downloading GW3 was for me some achievement then I stopped short of step 7 and 8 using method B but all seems to work well apart from this problem.

This is really curious. Never heard of that before...just like a sort "Virtual Twilight Zone". I have no ideas. It's a sort of graphical issue of some kind, and I don't think it has nothing to do with the scenery or GW3 itself.
Just a question: Do this happens with several planes or just with one?

Hi windrunner - After reloading the scenery and spending some time today using all 3 airfields... Inverness, Wick and Kirkwell it seems to be the DH85 Leopard Moth that comes with the download (I haven't looked for the included boats yet) that is the problem. I had some GW Travel Airs and Wacos for company up there so everything else seems fine. Have you tried the download ?

Roly,
Just tried the download and the DH85 is the problem. The problem exists if you answered 'No' to the '...disable unsupported features.....DH85' warning the first time the ac loaded. I found if you say 'Yes' the ac appears properly from the cockpit and still operates properly as ai.
Open the FSGW3.cfg file and edit the following:
[FrameCallNoWarn] DH85=0 <---change value from 1 to 0

Hi Roly, you wouldn't be my long lost cousin twice removed on my Aunt Agatha's side, Roly Ball, would you? The two sides of the family lost touch when Great Uncle Ferdinand went off to seek his fortune in the Great Californian Gold Rush in '49 (1849 that is...) and was never seen or heard from again.
No? Oh well...worth asking... ;D

Wait ... Wait !! What the heck does twice removed on my Aunt's side even mean? How can you be removed from your Aunt twice? *scratches head* Explain, I guess I never understood that statement.

Ah, there you are John. One of the mysteries of Ancient English. We are indeed separated by a common langauge. And if I told you I'd have to kill you

Strictly in the interest of scientific accuracy When the word "removed" is used to describe a relationship, it indicates that the two people are from different generations. You and your first cousins are in the same generation (two generations younger than your grandparents), so the word "removed" is not used to describe your relationship. The words "once removed" mean that there is a difference of one generation. For example, your mother's first cousin is your first cousin, once removed. This is because your mother's first cousin is one generation younger than your grandparents and you are two generations younger than your grandparents. This one-generation difference equals "once removed." Twice removed means that there is a two-generation difference. You are two generations younger than a first cousin of your grandmother, so you and your grandmother's first cousin are first cousins, twice removed. What I want to know Roller is are you related to Lucille Ball?
