I have installed a LOD10 (38m) mesh for the Alps covering Italy, Austria, South Germany and Switzerland (the one Holger Sandmann released as freeware).
Now, I'd like to install the FsGenesis mesh for the whole Europe (LOD9 76m). Should I give it a low or an upper priority within the FS scenery management to those LOD10 meshes ? I've heard "lower" meshes positions has upper priorities (which is the inverse for "normal" added sceneries)

I don't think so. Put the European mesh lower than your Alps mesh.
From high to low the order is
Scenery Landclass Local mesh Regional mesh Continental mesh
Don't see how it can work properly any other way.

As I understand it, a higher LOD mesh will always take priority, regardless of it's position in the Scenery Library-Priority list.
If 2 meshes have the same LOD, then the one lower in the proiority list will prevail.

Holger's readme in the Alps downloads confirms this. Note that FS2002 and 2004 differ in this matter.
