Hello! I have added an airport and I have a crash against an invisible object just there where it hurts more: the middle of the runway! how can I avoid this? I don't to want unstick "crash detection" in the Realism window.
(Could it be a wrong afcad?)

hey Damian. I'm not sure this will help, but maybe you could break down the airport data into an xml, or an AFCAD file, and find the culpret in the code... eliminate it, and reassemble the file. Just an idea.

My experience I'm afraid is that it does happen quite frequently and I've just encountered it as well in FSX with the scenery I'm currently working on. Ultimately I think you will end up having to uncheck crash detection as in all the cases I've had I've never found a reason for it. But no matter, you fly so well, you never crash usually anyway

I think it is a bounding box problem with some API macros. There may be a building nearby with an invisible box around it that spreads onto the runway.

Tom that is correct; I started to move the scenery bgls one by one and there was a big stadium close to the rw. Removed the building, problem solved.
(Now...this is a payware scenery...I'll have to contact the guy, may be he has spare coins for my time)

In FSX it is possible to turn off crash detection object by object. Unfortunately this is not possible in FS9

Yup, that's what I had to do with my scenery. Took the xml created by ADE and added the <NoCrash/> line and that solved the problem. I don't think you can do it from within ADE, though Jon, is that correct? I think you can only do it by editing the xml file at the end of the project.

yah, that goes for any XML coding you need to do, for instance, adding attachments.

You can with the latest version of ADE. 1.40 has just gone to the release team and should be available in a week. If you can't wait you can do it with 1.39 Beta

Wonderful news Jon. I was hoping XML editing through ADE would be included in the 1.40 version. Keep up the great work, your team is awesome.
