I have 3 installs of GW3....a base install, one set up for GA aircraft and one set up for military aircraft. The base install works fine, the GA and Military set ups display taxiways and ramps/parking areas as solid black...no texture what so ever. The GA and Military installs are direct copies of the base install. I have spend a few hours trying to figure it out....and can find no solution.
Yes, the runway_detail.bmp is deleted from all 3 installs, both updates installed. Like I said, they are identical....as the two with the problem are copy and pastes of the original base GW3 install (done on a fresh install of FS9..followed the installation directions to the letter). The only difference....the base install (which is the one that works fully) is on C drive (main drive) and the GA and Military installs are on K drive (my secondary drive).
Anyone have any idea of what is going on and how to fix it?

Hi Obio, I can't work out why 2 out of three installs of GW3 are showing the black taxi-ways. Hopefully another member will see this and have a suggestion? One option would be to rename the Coral texture for the taxi-ways and then at least they would look more period.
Regards,
Roger.

obio, welcome to TOH
runway_detail.bmp is not the file that needs deleting.
From the GW3 install instructions:
Restore the runway_detail.bmp from your 'good' GW3 install as it is a modified file installed by GW3.

I have the taxi way problem fixed. As Dave3cu mentioned, Runway_detail.bmp was not the file that needed deleted. I should have deleted Taxiway_detail.bmp. Once I figured that out, as is well....at least with the taxi ways. But there is another major issue which I can not figure out, but will start a new thread on it.
