Quite a few years back when I first installed GW and SW on my computer I uninstalled all the Microsoft AI traffic and never once looked back.
Old saying: "The second thing to go with age is the memory and I'm darned if I can remember the first."
So much time has passed since I did this that I can no longer remember exactly what I did but it was based on something explained in either The Old Hanger Forum or the Cal Classic Forum.
Now I find for reasons too long too long explain that I need them back, at least temporarily.
I still have what looks to be about a bazillion traffic .bgls in my FS9>Scenery>world>MSDefault Traffic and scenery folders but I don't have any AI traffic even with all traffic sliders set to maximum.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might recover my long missing Microsoft AI global traffic or if nothing else traffic in the KSEA/KPDX area?
Any help will be most appreciated!
My operating system is XP 3 and I use FS9.

The default traffic file is called traffic030528.bgl and it needs to be in \Scenery\World\scenery
Of course for anything to actually display, all the default aircraft must still be installed in the aircraft folder.

Tom,
Thanks so much for the "faster than a speeding bullet" reply!
The traffic file, traffic030528.bgl, is located in \Scenery\World\Scenery folder. Unfortunately I seem to have eliminated all of my default aircraft except for the Cessna 172.
Any thoughts on how I might restore them from my Flight Simulator 2004 disks and on which disk they might be located?
Thanks

I can't remember what disk they are on. You could take a look with Windows Explorer or perhaps someone else will have an answer.

Thanks for your help Tom. I can probably "wrassle" it out from here but you got me headed in the right direction.

The first disc has inside a .cab named "MSGAME1"; you'll find the whole set of default planes there.
