Does anyone here use a Nvidia Ti4200 video card? If so could you tell me if it supports reflective textures in FS9? Thanks.

Kevin- an easy test is to set water effects to high. If it won't stay there, it is not DX9 compliant and does not support the FS9 reflections. It might still give you decent aircraft reflections tho'

My old GeForce 3 Ti500 worked fine with the lyons style water. FS9 does not use DX9 shaders as far as I know. I believe it runs off DX8 technology.
Oh and at the very end of life for my old machine I had a ti4200 128 meg ram and it worked fine with the water!

Thanks for the info. There reason I asked, was that I was getting tired of the very low performance of my cheap low-end Nvidia FX5200 card. Since newer cards are coming out now, I figured getting a used mid ranged card would be the way to go. After doing some research I discovered that the TI 4200 out preformed the FX5200 in 3D graphics by an average of 40%. In the end so, I decided to get a Radeon 9500 pro which outperformed the Ti4200. Got a nice deal on ebay.
