Hi, I'm in the process of getting my computer set up again. On getting Golden Hawaii installed once more, I've been flying George Diemer's new S.43 around the islands and noticed that Port Allen Field is a bit further west on Kauai than I thought it was. It's depicted in Golden Wings down near where Waimea is. I know stuff changes and moves a LOT in those islands. John Rogers Field has seen 2 different locations and 3 different time periods and Pearl City was moved in it's entirety after/during WWII. I was just wondering if the same was true for Port Allen. Was the field originally there, or was it moved to it's current location later? Thanks,

I don't have a definitive answer for you Randy, but it was not unusual for Bill to build an old airport atop a new airport killing two birds with one stone so to speak. He said on many occasions he was going for the look & feel more than anything else. The construction phase of Golden Hawaii is now so far in the past that I can't remember any specifics.
