You can explain or not as you choose

Well I just put my name in 'Pioneer' although the choice from pre 1914 is not that large. Be nice to see the aircraft from 'Magnificent Men' all catered for and then do the London to Paris on the Netwings server. Having said that I'm still a 'multi-player virgin'

Speaking of Pioneer days. Summer is iffy for multi-player After I return from San Francisco in September I will host some Sunday multi-player sessions that will begin mid afternoon GMT and continue until we all quit I think a Pioneer theme would be good. We can use the Pioneer Field default scenery

I like both the 30's and the 50s. The thirties when I had my first airplane ride in a Waco cabin and the fifties when I received my private pilot's license in a Luscombe 8E. But I also fly modern to vicariously pick up where I left off some 30+ years ago. And to "fly" planes I only dreamed of flying. Lotsa fun. But I fly vintage aircraft in modern.

Tricky question. I love all eras of aviation, but for me I really use FS as a tool for practicing my real world flights so I had to say modern, however when I get change to just use FS as a way to have a “fantasy flight” I would have to say any thing other than modern aircraft is my choice. I just love to fly… My first flight was at age 3 when I rode my big-wheel (remember those) off the front porch (about a 5 foot drop.) The landing hurt but the flight down was awesome! Then when I was about 9 or 10 I started jumping dirt bikes. Anything to catch air. Before I started to fly in real life I piloted an airboat… now that is as close to flight as I ever got without leaving the ground. Skimming over the swamps and wetlands of Louisiana at 60+mph in a 18’ long by 8’ wide flatboat with a 450hp Panther engine and 4 blade prop… I have some pictures but I am not sure if this is the proper place to post them since they are not FS related.??

Hard to say. For one I prefer GA aircraft and that goes to any era. I don't set my time to earlier years so I would have to say modern...

The 30's are the best! Beautifully styled airplanes with lots of big, loud, rumbly, ol' smok'en radials!!
While I enjoy flying aircraft from all era's, the '30's where of a time and place when flying was coming of age and the different types and styles of aircraft were of a romantic period in aviation. You had the Wacos, the Stearmens, the Beechcrafts, the Electra's, the Gee Bee's, the Mister Mulligans and of course, the Stinsons - all great airplanes, all great times, all great to recreate in simulation!

All four of the real airplanes that I have owned and flown in the past were built around 1946. I had two Champs, a Luscombe 8A, and an Ercoupe. Those are the three that I mostly fly on FS9.
When it comes to multi-engines, I like the Beech D-18.
I also like to fly Piglet's T-28 and Wozza's T-6.

I just cast my vote for WW2. I love flying any and all WW2 era warbirds. I also love reading about the "real" flyboys of WW2. Those guys had fantastic courage to do all that they did.

I voted with Randy, the airplanes I was brought up with (and soloed) were all built between 1946 and about 1950. The Golden Age (late 30s) was a wonderful period, and those airplanes really have a lot of interest for me.
It is weird, I love flying older GA aircraft, but I also like jet tubeliners-the PMDG NG series are great and their soon to be released 747-400 looks super also. (That admission mya get me turfed out of here, I hope not).

We all have our little secrets I have 2 setups of FS, one very modern and [gasp] there's even a Citation in there... (I love modern General Aviation, but it is hard work flying by the rules) and the other, stripped of all the fancy stuff with my vintage planes, which I love as well.... and there's no ATC telling me I can't fly through that barn. Best of both worlds
