...the first guy to paint his plane in red. The KuK Kriegsmarine already dit it long before him!!! (sorry Slide...lol!) I want thanks Craig for all the time he spent doing the Lohner and for his skills that are making of him a real Master in the FS world of today. Thanks you!

Some pix - in FS9/Golden Wings, this time - of a flight in the Lohner S4 Trainer, from Pola (aka Pula, LDPL, it was the major base for the Austro-Hungarian Navy in WW1) to Fiume (now Rijeka in FS9/Grobnik in FSX, LDRG), both in modern-day Croatia. Although there are nearby land runways (see the above ICAO codes), there are no water runways in the area for either FS9 or FSX (somebody might have a look at that, hopefully). Yet again a new aeroplane has led me to enjoy wandering around scenery I wouldn't have thought of otherwise! Leyland

There was a major aeronaval station at Pola but of course, there were other Austrian bases (will check some sources); this could be an interesting development point for scenery makers: The Adriatic duirng WWI. I'm on it! we can even expand to Italy's major ports too. Good Idea.

The "Red Baron" was not the first guy to paint his plane in red. Right you are Windrunner though this might be a different meaning of " Danger-Here-I-Come" ... I like the variations of the Lohner very much, especially the Oberursel engine ,though it´s so weak. How could they lift a machine gun and Ammo with this? I have been reading about the "M"s and "L"s and I have no clues to that, except a friend´s suggestion the "M" might stand for the Mercedes-powered Lohners. Can´t wait for the amphibian version. Saw Craig´s shot trying to drop a bomb in the other thread - GREAT!
