I'm making WW2 airfields for my own use. I have spent 3 days doing one & thought this afternoon I'd add RAF to the name in the reference point. I saved it in Afcad2.21 in the usual way. When I went to use GW3 this evening I got a scenery error message & the airfield wouldn't load. I cant find it with Afcad2. I've removed it from the libary folder now. Is there anyway I can get into the file to resurrect it for use, or have I irrepairably destroyed it? Thanks.

Unless you've actually deleted the file you should be able run AFCAD, key in the code (i.e. KMKC) and it should show a modified file, you then open up that modified file and see if you can figure out what has been changed.

Terry,
If you have removed the file from an active scenery folder, Afcad won't find it using the Airport ID-Search. Assuming you still have the file and it is not corrupt, try this.......
In the Afcad-Open Airport window, select the 'From Specific File' option. Click the 'Open File' button and in the explorer window 'browse' to and select the Afcad file name and 'Open'.
Back in the Afcad-Open Airport window you'll have to expand the airport location tree in the left pane by clicking the [+] buttons.
When fully expanded, highlight the lowest level (city) and the airport should appear in the lower right pane. Highlight the airport and click OK.

Thanks Dave. I've just read your answer & will have a go tomorrow....Afcad doesn't pick it up when I put EGBK in the window but does get the default. I tried the specific file optoin this afternoon but just get default file. I'll have another go tomprrpw. I'll get back to you.

Right - I clicked Open & a small window appeared Collecting Airports... & then nothing however long I leave it. This AF2 is unreadable I'm afraid.......

If you removed the bgl file from the addon scenery folder then it no longer exists as far as FS is concerned and you will need to start again. AFCAD loads and saves to the bgl file so once it is deleted it no longer exists and that's that. If, however, you can find the AF2 bgl file that you saved then we can probably repair it. Is FS still crashing now?
