I enjoyed looking at a set of Players cigarette cards of 1930s airliners "Players_IAL.zip" which you can download at: www.classicbritishfiles.com/They are well worth a look. It inspired me to add a scan of a similar set that I have "Aeroplanes (Civil)" which should be available from the same site by the time you read this. If anyone wants a higher-resolution scan, I can oblige, just let me know. Leyland

A great item, Leyland. I actually have that set of cards (framed and on the wall right above me) and would love to find the booklet.

I have several sets of 'reproductions', but this Aeroplanes (Civil) is the real thing, given to me when I was just a wee boy (maybe that was the start of my interest in aeroplanes, right there). I did price framing but it was gonna cost me a fortune!
Kevin, I'm uploading a set of the original scans to my skydrive page and will send you a link to download if you give me an email address. It will be a two-part RaR file because of the size.
Glad somebody agrees with me that these things are worth saving and looking at.
NB the IAL set by Jon Murnaghan, may also be available in higher-resolution, you would have to contact him to find out.

I did a browse on eBay last night after posting that comment and found two, complete with cards....which is nice, because it then makes some sense of the text. Both are reasonably priced so I'll bid on one and see how I go. Bruce
