Who owns that one, Gil? I think the original Baby Ruth was destroyed in an in-flight fire.

Looking forward to the Brunner Winkle Bird this weekend, Gil!!
That Clip-wing 110 Special looks very nice - would like to have one in Flight Sim - don't believe there's one out there though - at least one that looks as nice as that one with that classic cowling and wheel pants.

…it’s great being a kid again – without the glue! ;D

Hello Steve!....NC501W was sold to Ruth Barron early in 1935 and she was killed in the crash of the racer the following July 3, 1935 while on landing approach to the Omaha airport. Apparently, a fire broke out in the cabin. The Clipwing was totally destroyed in the crash, but as we know so well today, as long as the paperwork still exists a new airframe can always be built up from it. California's Jim Heim began that process of resurrection years ago, passed it on to Al Allin of Michigan and Texas, and, today, the work on 501W is being completed by Jim White of Chandler, Arizona.

That's right, Gil. You know the old axiom...the only original parts are the paperwork and the shadow!! Looks terrific, though, doesn't she?
Best, smyers
