Hello! I have been enjoy myself over at the freeware Reutte Airport in Austria. This time I took The Maule for spin. I usually fly gliders out of this airport or very light aircraft. Here are some shots ]

Those are very nice shots and I like the yellow paint on the Maule.

I've got all of the versions of the Maule and fly it irregularly.
I tend to get tunnel vision and begin to think I'm the only one with my experiences. I really thought I was the only one in the Flight Sim World who even knew where Reutte is - or even wanted to.
Stationed in the Kaiserslautern Area of Germany (Sembach, then Ramstein), we'd take the "visitors from across the Pond" on a familiar trek in parts of Germany depending on time.
Usually we drove to Munich, toured, stayed at the old Erding AB housing area (Where I lived when I was a dependant brat in the early 60s) converted to a Recreation Area Hotel.
After whatever number of days allowed, we'd head south to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and stay there for a number of days. We usually made Innsbruck a day trip and, the crown jewel of the trip, a day trip to the monastery in Ettal (with the double bock dark beer), a visit to Oberammergau (the Passion Playhouse and all that carved wood available at every shop!), then on to Neuschwanstein Castle. Sometime we'd retrace our steps back to Garmisch, but usually we'd cross into Austria near Fuessen and make the drive by Reutte. We'd usually return to Garmisch via the back-door route through Linderhof and its palace.
I couldn't find FS9 airports for Fuessen and Reutte for the longest time - I even collected satellite pix of both and began building them - then they appeared on-line!
I usually fly my "tour" circuit, but I usually end up in Innsbruck just to fly the Alpine valleys - I can always return to Garmisch tomorrow!
Thanx for taking me back! My Lord! That was the late 70s and early 80s - has it really been over 30 years?!?!?!
And, everybody else - but thanx for letting me walk down memory lane...again!!!

It is your fault if I had to spend some undusting the Maule...uhm, I had even forgotten I had painted it several times. The high quality of this plane is so astonishing, and if you think it has been released on 2003...well, all the features of most recent planes for FS2004 and even FSX are there. Mikko Maliniemi and Tomas Foosnes were really "visionary" modellers.
