Hey all. I'm re-releasing this one back to you all fixed up and ready for fs2004. I will work in fsx if you do a little work on it too. Its a blast to fly, pretty fast and very maneuverable. I will post it this week when i have a few minutes. Right now I terribly bussey with a big release the big bosses at work are pushing us to get out but I think I can swing it this week. www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3NFi5y5Fmc&feature=youtube_gdataI will build a Native Fsx version of this and 100 times more detailed as well right after the Do 335 Fsx version is done. Keep your eyes peeled for this at www.cr1-software.com On the Add ons page and best of all its freeware for you all to have. Thanks for making Cr1-Software feel welcome in this community. There was a small "squadron'" of these in New Zealand a few years ago......I don't know whether they are still there. They flew at Wanaka at the annual air show and a friend who was there at the time said they looked terrific. www.warbirdsoverwanaka.com/2008_aircraft.htmlA great little 'plane and a nice model, too. The I-16 Ratas were used heavily by the Russians, the Spaniards and the then the New Zealand Air force used them. I wanted to do a lot more liveries for it but I have so many projects going on now, 2 big ones with the Staggerwing and the Do 335 freeware and commercial releases that I didn't have time. But there is a paint kit for you guys to have some fun with to.

..... and the then the New Zealand Air force used them..... No, the RNZAF never had these types of aircraft on strength; their types came from British manufacturers.....in the 1930s they had second-hand Baffins, Vildebeests, Vincents and placed an order for Wellingtons (but I don't think they ever took delivery due to WW2 breaking out). In WW2 they operated obsolete Short Singapores and also had lend-lease Hudsons and Sunderlands. Soviet aircraft were never part of the RNZAF. The six that were flying at Wanaka were resurrected in Russia, restored and bought by one person in NZ. I'm pretty sure they've dispersed since the late 1990s. Cheers! Bruce
