Picture # 10 - a classic to me because, in my youth, when I thought I knew everything there was to know about WWII AC, I noticed all the horizontal control surfaces had burned out - because they were FABRIC COVERED (!!!) to save metal. I hadn't known until my junior year in HS (64-65) that many (most?) of the ailerons and elevators on WWII AC were fabric covered!!!
