I have the Surfliner for MSTS....both the Facing Point 2005 version (which was slammed for lack of scenery) and the two freeware versions, which are excellent.
If the Railworks one is half as good then it will be great.

Pacific Surfliner LA-San Diego It seems that it isn't part of TS2014, Tom. Maybe a later add-on...at extra cost, of course. Bruce

Having now "briefly" tried out TS2014......I like it. The interface seems to be much more user-friendly....however, it seemed the steam engines were more difficult for ME to run, however, to be honest.....I haven't been in here for so long, it's probably something I'm doing incorrectly. (smile)
I do like the graphic improvements.....can't wait to be able to spend a little more time trying out the new features. At least...it's enough like TS2013 that I don't have to spend a lot of time "re-learning" how to operate stuff.
Cheers,

Bruce- I could have been clearer onm my post I guess, yes, both items pictured are future DLC. I assume Pacific Surfliner will run 39.99 on release with a reduction during the Christmas sale. I'll wait until then. The BR424 is out already at 19.99
Steve- I like most of the changes and some are under the hood. I have a full backup of TS2013 on an external drive but I've only run it briefly since 2014 was released. I tested a couple of the new workshop routes and surprise! they work.

Like you Tom, I'll most likely wait until the Christmas sale...however, I'm very interested in the Pacific Surf Liner, since I live in that part of the world. (smile)
So far, most of the stuff from 2013 works fine. I lost a couple steam engines, however, there is more than enough to keep me busy.
Perhaps it's just me.....but it seems the routes are much easier for me to manage. In the past (2013 & previous versions)....I always seem to have a difficult time trying to keep to the time schedule, without speeding. (smile) I've either gotten better at managing the time, or there have been changes to the program....which ever it may be, I'm sure enjoying the rail sim more.
Cheers,
