Building Quick Drive Consists with RW_Tools Part 2: The set-up.RW_Tools saves created fragments and consists to a pre-selected Preload folder. This need not be the same each time but you must make one available. I have a large collection of Iron Horse House engines and rolling stock fragments, so I have made a folder in the IHH folder called Quick Drives and in that is a Preload folder. Although I have no plans to distribute anything, there are copyright and ownership issues with using other peoples' work. By setting my preload folder here, the XML code which we will look at (probably) in Part 4 will show IHH as the Provider. If I were using fragments from another provider, I would set my Preload folder in their folder. In any case, you need to go into your railworks\assets folder and select a provider, be certain there is a preload folder there or make one and then... See Fig.3 for the steps to set a Preload folder in RW_Tools. Open RW_Tools and click Options, then PreLoad Folder. A seperate window will open titled Select Your PreLoad Folder, You can see my example pasted into Fig.1. Find your own Preload folder, select it and you will be ready for Part 3. The bottom picture is not important to the tutorial but it shows the contents of my preload folder. You can see a few consists listed but the big thing is the selection of fragments. These are pre-made sets of rolling stock and can save a great deal of time when assembling consists. More about that in Part 3.
